EPRO MMS6120 Monitoring module MMS 6120

EPRO MMS6120 Monitoring module MMS 6120

EPRO MMS6120 Monitoring module MMS 6120,the EPRO MMS6120 is a German-made measurement module used for monitoring bearing vibrations. It is a dual-channel module that can be used with eddy current sensors or piezoelectric sensors. The module features two independent electric velocity sensor signal inputs, and it can be replaced during operation. It also has a redundant power supply input, and it comes with an extended self-test function that includes a built-in sensor self-test function, as well as password-protected operation levels. The module has an RS232/485 port for on-site configuration and communication, and it can store the most recent measurement data from the last start/stop. MMS6110

It is important to note that the EPRO MMS6120 is a specialized measurement module designed for monitoring bearing vibrations. It is not a general-purpose module and may not be suitable for other types of vibration monitoring applications.

To use the EPRO MMS6120 module, you need to connect it to appropriate sensors. The module has two independent electric velocity sensor signal inputs that are matched with eddy current sensors or piezoelectric sensors. The sensors should be compatible with the PR926X series of electric sensors produced by EPRO. The module also has an RS232/485 port that can be used for on-site configuration and communication.

When it comes to monitoring bearing vibrations, there are different approaches that can be used. Some of the common approaches include:

  • Eddy current sensors: These sensors work by measuring changes in the magnetic field caused by the movement of the bearing. They are non-contact sensors and can measure high-frequency vibrations. However, they may not be suitable for low-frequency vibrations.
  • Piezoelectric sensors: These sensors work by measuring changes in voltage caused by the deformation of a crystal. They are contact sensors and can measure both high and low-frequency vibrations. However, they may require calibration and may not be suitable for high-temperature environments.
