HIMA’s self-diagnostic technology can diagnose the entire hardware and software operation of the system in one scan period with a diagnosis rate of 99.99%. CPU and I/O card fault information can be displayed in 4-character display in the CU information window and system workstation. The location of the faulty module can be displayed, such as the cabinet number, I/O card rack number, and I/O card slot number. The fact is that every faulty card is diagnosed so that maintenance personnel can know where the fault is and replace the appropriate I/O card.

The following important functions are used in HIMA’s automation systems:
Enhanced self-test function
Running I/O module test function
Data transfer and data comparison functions of redundant central modules
In the event of a central zone failure, the entire system can safely shut down the production unit by issuing a stop command through an independent, high-priority watchdog hardcircuit system.
