The first method takes advantage of the HPM’s redundant Power Supply Module option. The two Power Supply Modules can be wired to operate from two separate ac feeder sources as illustrated in Figure 3-1 or 3-2. The two ac feeder sources do not have to be of the same phase, frequency,voltage, or from the same service as long as each meets the power quality requirements discussed in subsection 3.3. Second method The second method, by which two ac feeder sources can be implemented, is through an automatic transfer switch. The HPM does not need redundant.
