PROSOFT MVI56-PDPMV1 Master Network Interface Module The MVI56 PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master Network Interface Module allows ControlLogix processors to easily communicate with slave devices supporting PROFIBUS DP-V0 and DP-V1 protocol. The module acts as an input/output module between the PROFIBUS network,The MVI56-PDPMV1 is a communication module that functions as a Profibus DP V1 Master communication module, enabling any ControlLogix controller to connect with existing or new PROFIBUS network and communicate with up to 125 PROFIBUS slaves. This module is also compatible for use with PROFIBUS repeaters to maximize slave device connection . The module incorporates proprietary backplane technology that enables powerful data exchange with ControlLogix processors

The module acts as an input/output module between the PROFIBUS network and the ControlLogix processor. Data transfer from the processor is asynchronous with the I/O data transfer on the PROFIBUS network. Databases are user-defined and stored in the module to hold the data required by the protocol.
